Have a Seat!

Dear April...where did you go?

I can't believe May is here already! April had been a crazy busy month, but I did get a lot done...mostly in my own home. I've been working on some projects in my dining room. The reveal is to come...soon...I hope :-) It has to be complete or at least presentable by this weekend as my son makes his First Holy Communion on Sunday. That means the house has to look great for the family party to follow. We are so proud of him and want to make sure the day is truly special for him.

Here is a chair I painted in April. I did a chair like this before {different color} and it sold very quickly at my sale last summer so I thought I'd make another.

I used my "go to" paint...Annie Sloan chalk paint in Provence. No priming, no prep sanding just start the fun part right away...painting!!!

A little distressing to make the chair look like it has been sitting in the corner of your house for a very long time.

Well used, well worn and well loved. Oh the stories it could tell!

Everyone who has children has a time-out chair...how about a chair that is cute, stylish and reminds the kids they are here to...{sit}. I had my little guy be my model for the day. He's becoming quite the pro...moving to a different pose with each frame. It's such a hoot!!!

Now's he's being just plain goofy...and I'm sure trying to prove that he's not really in time-out! Well, I'm off to clean my house for the big celebration! Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Linking up to these parties...check them out and see what awesome projects others are doing!
